Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

In episode 8 I did a double-take when I saw the ring on Dorcas's left hand. I couldn't quite make out all the details of it but it looked exactly like this antique garnet ring that I wear! :)

That's rigth WW, remember last series Thomas changing Annie's napkins in the post office

Not me I'm afraid IC, I don't think they're suited at all, she's too daft for him and he's too responsible and sensible for her...........I personally hope things aren't heading that way...........but they probably will:rolleyes::D

I don't mind the fact that Nan isn't there, just would like a mention of the fact that once upon a time she was:)

People
JD IS GONE
GONE!!!

Dorcas did not take sidney and tell him to get lost
he decided that he was better off with dorcas ( which he is)

but the he left, HE LEFT on his own
to go and find whatever he was looking for of some sort of BS like that

he could have stayed in candleford, ran his hotel and gotten to know his son
but he didnt

he pretty much abandoned him
choosing to left town instead of just staying down the road

stop acting like he is so great and dorcas is the wicked witch of candleford
he choose to leave and left his child behind which makes him an ass :D:D:D

Thanks, k! If you remember from the episode, when Thomas told Dorcas the name of the poem that got mixed up in Sir Timothy's post bag, Dorcas went to her bookcase and took out the book of poems and read it. It was Laura who had written the poem out for Thomas pretending it was from Miss Ellison. I'm presuming she copied it from the book of poems in the bookcase.

Hopefully your right :) I dont think it is the end of that storyline as it looks like Lady Adelaide was staying in Candleford a while. Btw, is Lady Adelaide pregnant again?

I read it on a site that was concentrating on the forthcoming work of the bloke who plays Twister (karl Johnson). It said something along the lines of "Karl has requested back to work on Lark Rise To Candleford for a fourth series of 6 episodes".

Forgive me for not being able to remember the exact site though.

But would it still be a joy to watch if they kept churning out the episodes? NM

I've given up on series both in UK and US for that very reason (CSI and Heartbeat come to mind). I just got bored with them when stories started to repeat themselves............a little of what you fancy is a good thing IMO and more isn't necessarily better, sometimes it's just more.

Here endeth the lesson:D:D..........sorry for sounding a bit preachy:p

Haven't seen lats nights yet..........nightshift, but stories based around Pearl always seem to deliver

Your links are awesome!!! I kinda understand why you don't, but I wish you had a link to all of them off the main page of your website! Would make it a smidge easier to navigate and get to. :)

Thank you for sharing!!

The Minnie and Alf section is my favourite bit by miles. I'm loving everything about Minnie's story.

Nobody else has mentioned it, so perhaps it didn't bother anyone else, but I was really disappointed by Laura hiding like that and not going to her parents' house. That seemed completely out of character to me and a bit pathetic, tbh. And she refused to talk to him when Daniel confronted her. That seemed cruel to me, when he was under such strain. I'm not a great fan of Daniel generally, but I agree that he was shown to behave really well last night - but I don't believe Laura loves him at all. I think the actress who plays Laura is really excellent, but I think she's been wasted in this series and not given anything interesting to play and I'm rapidly going off Laura as a character.

Thanks L, I couldn't find it either.

SounRAB like a great episode, I fear the worst for Sir T...........nice that they have used a storyline from Series 1 to re introduce the big house:)

Well, I re-watched Episode 1, Series 1 and forgot how good it was. The tension between Dorcas and Timothy over the Sherry - hot, hot, hot. He definitely married the wrong one! I'd also forgotton how unkind the Pratt Sisters were. It actually got me thinking of how carefree things appeared. They made do with their lot and managed. I think lessons could be learned even today.

I've also enjoyed forum members views on the book and characters. Having just had the book hit the doormat, I can't wait to make my own mind up.

And to go out on a high!!! Oh my god, can I just comment on the "on-going" Dorcas / Timothy saga. What a brilliant read and what escapism. Keep em' coming, please.

Episode 2 awaits for this weekend.
