Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

soooo sick of St. JD and the evil dorcas who stole his son

reclaim? he is a person
i wish people would stop referring to sidney as if he was someones possession
he is a little boy who is much better off in the post office

JD wasnt even going to take sidney out of that horrible school
dorcas loves him and is taking good care of him

JD IS GONE
let it go :D:D:D

Me too. 'twas terribly sad, but an excellent episode.

I feel a bit done in after that ep, I had a bit of a Hornblower fest yesterday and am gutted they have not made more, watched a few other weepy things today and just had a weepy LRtC episode. In need of a Big Bang Theory fix now so that I can restore normal balance! :)

They could just get rid of all the wretched sport and put the money into other programmes!
I appreciate that there are budget cuts, but I have difficulty in understanding why these big organisations cut the popular shows and spend money on new risky shows! Surely during economic difficulties it would be better to continue making the shows that will guarantee the audience rather than experiment with new ones that probably wont!

Rather than spending money on yet another remake of a remake from Jane Austen, they should invest in a ten part Lark Rise series and two Christmas specials, one for 2011 and one for 2012!

I think I will write to the powers that be at the BBC! (i know it will make no difference!)

I am watching as I type, well waiting for the darn thing to download, first 30 min done though! Love love Thomas endeavours story, pretty funny and Minnie and Ruby Pratt:)

I find the name mistake pretty stupid too, I mean how difficult was it to make it right!! And why Emma is the sole inheritor (not sure that;s a word) wouldn't Dorcas inherit as well

ok glad to be back and going to watch the rest of the show

Eeek! Yeah, a musical! That would be rather hard to take. LOL!!

I'll tell ya--writing my own LRTC story has kept me sane while waiting for series 4 to start! So far the year is flying by as I'm always occupied with thinking about my next scene. I don't know what I'll do when I finish it!
Victorian Girl--maybe you should start your own JD/Dorcas story! And it's very kind of you to read mine since you're a JD fan--I really appreciate it! :D

8.30pm this evening (Thursday) - though it might be that times vary between Scotland and England.

They had some not bad clips. They seem to have quite a lot of crows around the film set that start cawing loudly during emotional scenes. And cows mooing etc.

On the Dibber debate, I can kind of understand why the writers went with the name Dibber as they probabaly wanted to show that it had no connection with Dorcas' side of the family or else it maybe would have seemed that Dorcas was entitled to the money as well which would have altered the storylines impact. However, they should have maybe shown a way that Emma was a Dibber and a Lane.

OOh just thought maybe she had both her parents surnames and was Emma Diber-Lane? :D You never know!

Am having trouble posting. Krysten,I am flattered, and Bill would be too.
Geogchick, I will have to look into this whispering, and you are right, the writers should be told much more in advance.

Since I'm late to the party, I'm just now going back and reading all of Julia's (Angelheart's) posts for the first time. Oh, my gosh, Julia, you are so funny! My stomach muscles are hurting for laughing so much. I especially loved this one:
"No, I don't actually, I'm spoonfed with diamond encrusted Tiffany cutlery.. " *Sherry wipes the tears from her eyes.*

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our posts! Okay, back to reading.... :D

Ooops, I just realized I uploaded a previous version of the story to FanFiction. I revised it to have Lady A. already having been buried in London before Timothy comes back to Candleford. :o It's taking forever for FF to post the changes.

Don't forget to rewatch Series 1 Episode 1 so we can discuss it tomorrow! :)

In terms of serious story telling that was, without doubt, the best episode in this series. Even Robert was talking sense for once.

You know K, that was so good I didn't even realise Thomas, Margaret and Pearl weren't in it:D:D

Only Dorcas and Laura have been in every episode now then. Wonder what the chances are of a story without the two of them:confused::confused:

If there's only 6 episodes in Series 4, it'd have to be a whirlwind romance!! I think Sir Tim has bit the dust good and proper (blubbing here, not sobbing). I'm hoping your ending is going the way I want it to go? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink!!
