Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Yes, there was a question mark over where Timothy actually was in the lady Adelaide episode, on the other hand nobody has mentioned that its maybe JD because after all he has to come and see Sidney at some point.

Actually, just thought that maybe the bloke that Ruby is seeing in Pontefract is rich and when they come back to candleford they help Dorcas.

I am a 60 year old man who likes nothing better than to sit down and watch things like Larkrise, Heartbeat and the Royal etc. Its escapism television which entertains and has the much needed feel good factor. I don't analyse each episode and compare series one with series three etc as its pointless. All long running programmes have changes in them and you decide to carry on watching or not.

To show how much I analyse the programmes it wasn't until four of five episodes into series one that I realised that Julia Sawalha wasn't her sister Nadia (sorry Julia  )

Great characters, great actors and actresses and great entertainment. Just sit back, enjoy it and don't look into it all so deeply. Its entertainment, be entertained and long may it continue :)

Steve: Another excellent American novel you should read is "Christy" by Catherine Marshall. A young teacher in 1912 leaves home to teach back hills mountain children. Based on a true story.

if that man came by train all the way from London in less than a day

it means that sir T can come and check his patch much easier
maybe the train coming will also bring back sir T
at least for one episode :D:D:D:D

oh the possibilities in series 4

i think maybe we are taking the whole series a little too seriously now but on the other hand I think the script writers are taking it a little too lightly...

I'd describe the first 3 eps as watching a pantomime.....when you go along and Ian MacKellan is playing the dame....all very amusing for a bit but then you want to see him act - cos you know he can! They have some fabulous actors but appear to not be giving them the stories....

What happened to the likes of the Dorcas/Delafield rain scene....
Many Dorcas Sir Tim moments....

At least I might get some misery next week with the measles story! :)

I do think one of the problems is the different writers, directors etc.......why do they do this does anyone know?

And I don't see why Nan couldn't come back for an ep or 2......Rose and other characters always appeared in Doctor Who.....it can be done....

I'm the one to apologise VG I wasn't commenting on your not putting up spoilers, I just thought I would try it myself as I hadnt done it before, and as I am reknowned for my terrible 'quoting' technique I thought I would give it a try:D:)

Oi WW less of the 'humble', when it comes to TV UK is top of the world tree..............and that is a totally unbiased opinion:D:D:D

Welcome to the madhouse Sherry:)

Next week's episode looks really good, too! Looks like quite an emotional scene between Dorcas and Thomas, which I love! I know, I know, I have Dorcas on the brain. If anyone knows if someone is selling "Dorcas Lane is my one weakness!" t-shirts will you please let me know? :p

Regarding baby Arless - is she the baby that was born just after the father arrived home from sea, if so surely she should be older.

If not, what happened to that one because it doesn't appear to be in Larkrise, just the older children were left - and if it's not that baby, why didn't the new baby come as a shock to anyone? It's not like it was easy to tell people in those days like it is now, but no one seemed to bat an eyelid at the new arrival - much less give the poor mite a name! lol

Agree that Nan should at least have a mention, if only to explain what's happened to her
