Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Thanks, Chrissy! :D. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Just picture the doctor as Richard Armitage-- that's who I based him on if I could cast a doctor in the show. :D. I've actually written more with him and Laura but it's out of sequence so haven't posted it yet.

Hello sherry and a big fat welcome to you.

I guess you have summed up pretty well your feelings towarRAB Lark rise and it's lovely to see that folk across the pond enjoy our humble little British shows so much. I personally believe not enough credit is given to British shows across the world, but hey, that's for a different time and place.

This winter in Britain has been the coldest and grimmest for 30 years. So, having Lark rise on during cold dark winter Sunday evenings, with its glorious summery feel, the golden sunshine, the inoffensive banter between all the characters and the warm cosy feel of home, really does take the gloom outside away for a whole hour.

Dorcas, Queenie and the sisters Pratt are my favourite characters although the babbling between Queenie and Twister is magical! Minnie brings a smile to my face and there's a special sort of oddity with Thomas and Margaret.

Anyway, it is nice to read your comments and your viewpoints and hope this thread gives you a lot of pleasure, especially over the last five episodes of this series.

Hope you have a nice day. Steve.

You're right, but perhaps with the nature of her character, she is one that could be used in the future, like Constable Patterson...........wonder if he'll be making his annual appearance this series:D:D

Awww, I'm sorry, TT. If it's any consolation I have to wait to see it, too. If I'm a very good little girl I will get to see it about 9 or 10 hours after it airs in Britain.

Got to agree about Daniel HF, he really is too smug and cocksure.......and I really don't like him yet, but on the positive side he is a connection to the book, Laura was very friendly with a journalist she met at the local fair and they remained frienRAB and corresponded for many years, which is why I feel he will be the character Laura leaves Cranford with or for:)

Im jealous GC, up in the North we really havnt that much snow at all  I have been hoping that maybe it will snow so much that I will not have 2 go and do my exam but it is not looking likely! Coincidently the exam is geography so if you have any tips let me know! :D

Finally Lark Rise tonight! :D

Wow! That's so awesome that you got to see some of the Lark Rise set! Too bad you couldn't get closer to it. Could you pm me with directions on how to get there? I hope to be in England next March. I sure hope the buildings will still be there then as I would love to see them.

Yes, I'm game for discussing ep.3. I'm out shopping right now but will post something later. :).

I love Lark Rise SOOOO much! So much infact that after series 1 I bought and read the book in like 2 hours! :P

Is Sir Tim actually coming back or is it just Lady A? Him and Dorcus are meant to be together! It's fate!

I finally got the chance to watch it, too, tonight. What a rich episode--I loved it! Loved Dorcas teasing Thomas and denying him the calves foot jelly! Loved Robert's moderating their dispute. Minnie was hilarious with her wanting to be "resistable" for Alfie. LOL! There is such depth in the acting on this show--you can see what the characters are thinking and feeling. It just draws you in!
Loved when Emma shouted at the children, "SIT DOWN!" and Margaret immediately sat down. Yes, loved Dorcas saying she behaved like a naughty schoolgirl! Did you see how Robert was trying not to laugh when she said it?
Excellent episode--loved it! :D

Morning QM, I wondered where you'd got to!

I'm picking up a generally disgruntled air and I'm wondering if it's because things really hotted up on this forum around two-thirRAB of the way through series 2 when it seemed to us that the writers had quite literally lost the plot. We had a common goal and when angelheart joined in, it made us feel that we were appreciated and that someone in the know was paying attention.

Now we are starting again. Thinking back to the start of series 2 and indeed series 1, I felt that this was a nice way of finishing off the week - that Sunday evening hug that someone memorably labelled it - but didn't attach any more importance to it than that.

So I'm wondering if the disgruntlement is in not, at the moment, being so taken up by the content that we can't get to the forum fast enough to find out what everyone else thinks?

I'd better stop now as I'm in danger of disappearing up my own *****! But like BonnetWeakness and I suspect all of us, I'll keep watching!

Several pages back, another FM mentioned the name Ameila Cordelia had appeared, somewhat mysteriousy in the episode credits....

I suggested that perhaps that Amelia Cordelia was an anagram !!

Nothing quite that mysterious as it turns out ! :)
