Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Well, I have refrained from visting this thread...as people know I was an avid LRTC fan last year but I am feeling very disconnected this year and I dont like that feeling.

It's heartening to see that I am not alone and recognise many names from last year who feel the same...phew!

I agree with highfidelity:-

I won't be able to see yesterday's episode until tonight, but was there something in the previews for next week that led you to believe it's likely Sir Tim who is the "important visitor"? Dare I hope???

What busy bees! Queenie would be proud of you all..Only 2 days to go!!!!!!! Can't wait to see some of the 'old' cast - Minne, Alf, Pearl Ruby... and yes, even Twister.;)

Some collective nouns... Larkies. Dorks. Numpties. Twisters... Dibbers??? Why aren't we a 'cult' site on here, anyway?

Sorry K I missed LW butlooks like she wasnt thereanyway. Thanks for the Hello stuff (way back on p2 - I'm a slow reader),

Mabe JD returns in Series 4?D:D...

But then again....(just for BM)Olivia's interview posted by ss asked if the series have a definite ending? Or does it leave it open for a possible fourth run?:

That explains the naff continuity!

QMs been a bit quiet - hopefully geting ready for youtubing

You'll have to volunteer for a stint on the Victorian Farm WW, (that's another reality show that isn't tat VG:D). You could freeze in the bedrooms, read by candlelight and eat tripe and onions yum yum:D:D.......Happy Christmas
:D:D

Was he questioned regarding a certain missing milkmaid:D:D and did he fess up:D

I'm nightshift Sunday:cry::cry:

Well I'm back!!! Been away for a week of 'me time'. About to get stuck in to Episode 3 of Series 1 if we're still doing re-runs of Series 1? Went camping and walking in Somerset and Wiltshire. Guess where I came across, 'Larkrise'.:)
There are actually public footpaths nearby, so you can view parts of the outside set from a distance. You can see the 'end house' and the house used as Queenie and Twisters and part of the old barn. It amazes me how much smaller everything looks in the flesh so to speak. Visited Lacock as well, which was used as Cranford. Again, this is so deceptive, but so quaint. No tv ariels or satalite dishes here!! Same as in Downham where Born and Bred was filmed. Any takers for Episode 3, S1? About to make a cuppa and settle down to watch it, with feet up:). (Resting my weary feet after a weeks worth of walks.:)

The song sang by the harvesters was The Keeper. There are several versions on Spotify . A good example is the one by Sadie Greenwood.

One slight observation. I think in Victorian times the wheat would have been much taller. In the last few years cereal crops have been bred to have much smaller stems. This is because nowadays straw is looked upon as an unwanted by-product.

Even so, an excellent episode.

I think I must have missed some of season 2. This is season 3, right? Who was Nan? And was there an episode when Alf and Laura decided they were not for each other?

Alf is starting to look a bit hunky, this series.

Yep, I'm talking about Cheryl. Giving that supposedly the next series is going to be the final one, they need someone in like Cheryl to make it go out with a bang and give it publicity. Not to mention having a big weapon in the ratings war with ITV.

Her and Laura Timmins fighting it out over Daniel (as Cheryl would play Daniel's secret wife) would give new meaning to 'Fight For This Love'.

I had a wonderful 4th of July! My aunt had me playing cowgirl and kept me busy on her farm ALL weekend, so I still have the second half of your story to read! :D How was your weekend?

Hi sherry, sorry haven't been on here for a while as it has been a tough week. Lots of bad things have happened (can't discuss them here though but maybe I'll drop you an email) so it has restricted my time on the internet.

I will certainly read your story as it sounRAB very interesting and I hope you are still up for reviewing that episode from series 1. Bloody woman from work hasn't given back my discs yet and, as I know what the episode is about, I want to watch it fresh!

Hope you are well, and thank you in advance for taking the time to write scenes and share them with everyone. You are a very kind person.

Thank you so much, Elinor31! I appreciate you taking the time to read it. I have more to write and am anxious to get home from work to work on it! :)

Well said skylarksue, this thread neeRAB some of that right now. I kinda liked the bleeding tree too.

Oh, and I too am very proud to say I adore Press Gang.

And well... that's that. :)
