Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

KARL JOHNSON :p:p:p:p

For me the jury's still out on Downton Abbey, but I did like Brendan Coyle's character.........I'm having to watch it on itv player, because STV are too cheapskate to buy it:mad::mad:, we're getting the new Taggart before everyone else tho:yawn::yawn::yawn:

I'm sorry but a lot of that is complete b****x. He could not have known whom he was better off with. Dorcas did not allow him to get to know his father.

He struggled with the decision to leave Sydney with Dorcas, but thought that he needed a woman's touch. He told Sydney that he would make sure that Dorcas knew where to contact him.

He left because she made it very clear that she wanted nothing to do with him, and so that she had a clear run to look after Sydney. He did what he thought was right for the child, not what he wanted.

I still think that Dorcas overstepped the mark, and that she should have made more effort to help Sydney build a relationship with his father, instead of taking over.

It seems strange that references to events in the last series are so bad and yet they refer to Series 1 quite accurately (Ruby being called Ruth and Thomas saving the post office by not posting the deeRAB):confused:

kyrsten I bet you've done loaRAB! you're only 20...I'd done nothing at 20.......not that I have the most exciting life now! But seriously NOTHING by 20!

Well I'm re-watching the first episodes too and I guess we're not the only ones! :):)

That's fun to hear! So Thomas doesn't have to fake the religious parts or that he came from a large family (remember that came in the measles episode.)

I wonder how many of the other characters could relate to their role. :D:cool::D You still with us Dorcas? :D :D

I'm one of those people who tend not to give up on a TV show and see it through to the end.

However, this current series of Lark Rise is doing me in!!

I'm a bit behind the rest of you and last night I watched the CAPOLCA/School episode. It has to be the worst and certainly the most far fetched episode ever.

For me it's lost all believability, which is sad.

Naughty continuity.Tut tut!

Nothing like as bad as the vapor trails in the sky in that episode at the end of series 1 though.:o

Surely if the viewing ratings remain high the BBC will have to have extra series! I guess time will tell.

Really looking forward to this Sunday nights episode! :)

Do the writers forget that it's seven miles from Lark Rise to Candleford?

How are these characters getting between the two locations so quickly? I know Dorcas pops over on her horse, but what about the others?

One minute Emma is strolling down Candleford High Steet and the next she's back at home with the kiRAB!!

At normal walking speed you're looking at at least two hours each way, yet didn't Twister manage to do the return journey this week whilst Queenie was asleep?

Yes we have been thinking about it, the photos were put onto slides as I think she intended to do presentations, She died in her late forties, I copied them all to disk and sent all the members of the family a copy.
I am in the process of watermarking them and I need to have a chat with my nephew and if he agrees we will offer them to the village historical society or publish them in her memory I am feeling that it is mean to keep them to ourselves.

I thought it was just me that wasn't enjoying it as much - don't get me wrong it's still a beautiful series that makes sunday nights a bit more bearable, but I feel in many ways it has lost its way a bit and drifted too far from the books. Last nights ep was by far the best after the first two weeks. I have to say I'm also not very much enamoured with the new male Journalist totty either...

Great, can't wait. Already got my fan out. Need cooling down with Mr Delafield! He's the only other one I'd have fixed Dorcas up with! Catch you all in a short while when I've cooled off:D:D

Couldn't agree with you more though when you say they should sacrifice some other show for our LR2C.

Great minRAB think alike! I was going to ask who had read the books and is Dorcas mentioned and if so what does happen to her? Are the books really worth reading?

I was glad that I read the credits for this coming ep. I would have been bitterly disappointed when ST did not materialise and think it far better to know now.

Well at least I think Julia said she doesn
