Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

I agree, they would not have kissed in the street in daylight, but there are quite a few things in this programme that don't fit, in Larkrise they are all too clean for one.
As for Lauras' eyeliRAB, they were fluttering soo much I couldn't concentrate on the show.

TT - I know you're Twister's twin so you would know better than any of us how his health is doing! :) Twister came to mind only because of his age and the fact that we've almost lost him already. Whoever it turns out to be (if it turns out to be anyone!!), I know I'm going to be boo-hooing. There's not one character I don't absolutely love!!

Daft happorth is a slightly affectionate way of saying don't be silly - I forgot you would not know. Mind you, maybe some British people would not know either. Did not mean to offend you. But you could at least thank me for pointing out Angelheart is JS!:)

I am glad you managed to see it more or less at the right time.

There was a lovely programme many years ago about the house she and her husband bought and restored, it was ultra modern and really exciting , I remember loving it.
Ruby ( and I think she had a brother) were just little children.
Her husband is a well known actor ( Ruby's dad.)
I think Janine is best known as Pippa and living next door to Victor ( I don't bleddy believe it) Meldrew.:D

Lovely episode -- the last two have won me back. Much more cohesive, and really wonderful acting. Love it when the writers let the actors speak volumes without worRAB -- excellent!

Paracletelux, I'm with you here. Just one little line -- "Thomas, you'd better send word to James Dowland." That's all I ask! :(

Ah well . . . still a wonderful episode.

PS - I wondered the same thing re: Ruby & Pearl -- sisters or mother/daughter? Hmmm . . .

Tks K, missed you 2:D:D (I was nightshift, did a little posting before Zzzzzzzzzzz:yawn:)

I know it won't but it should.............too much of a good thing can get.....................well you know what I mean, I just don't want them to end up spoiling it with overkill:):)

Twister's fine and dandy at the moment, but you know, winter's coming on and 1897 had it's fair share of blizzarRAB brrrrrrrrrr:D:D:D.
But I'm with you BG, I love them all. I was even warming to newspaper boy before the end of last series:D

Well, I thought I would keep you all company at the very end - and I am glad I did.

I thought it was a very good episode, back to the original greatness. Fantastic ensemble acting and I am so glad Daniel got picked over Fisher. Fisher looked a grubby bit of rough actually - fine for a bit of flirtation but not for the "fine lady" that Laura would like to be. Haven't watched all the series, but Daniel seems quite nice from this episode at least.

If the next series is this good, I will be watching again.

I thought the same thing!!!! And wasn't Mrs Arlyss off somewhere with her husband and the baby (i didn't really hear what was in the letter), and is that the same baby girl? She should be more grown than that, shouldn;t she be?

Episode 6 was brilliant, again, one on my favourites list. I must admit, I did like Zillah again in this, you saw her moody, up-tight side in this, making everybody else react.

Dorcas was at her (meddling) best in trying to arrange a 'coming together' of Thomas and Miss Ellison, but I admire anyone who can apologise it they've done wrong. Glad it worked out though.

One of the best bits though (not the best in my mind in this episode) was Sir Tim coming to the Post Office in the middle of the night. Embarrased at finding everyone in their nightwear, he couldn't quite look our Dorcas in the eye. Zillah and the 'i've seen weepin and a wailing, tears and kisses......... I wanted more. The upstairs conversation definitely made me want to know more of the early days between the pair. He knew she couldn't say no to him and when he says, like Larkriser said, ' sometimes, circumstances force us to reflect.......' He knows he made a huge mistake.

The Definition of Love, totally sums up the relationship between the pair and both of them knew it. Both of them reading it - it could have been written by either of them and summed up their relationship perfectly.

My best bit out of this whole episode was when Adelaide payed a call on the Post Office. The meeting with Dorcas and the 'question' scene was fantastic. I loved watching the expressions of Dorcas in this. Excellent timing and reactions - superb acting. Brings a chuckle everytime I see it.

When Thomas is trying to explain to Sir Tim about the mix up with the poem, could the looks at the end between the two be any more searching and wanting!!!!!

I think Laura calls her Ma'am and Minnie calls her Mum which is how the scene with Sydney came about asking what he would call her.

TBH in the previous series I had never taken much notice of Minnie's character as she always seemed to be in the background just listening in to any conversation she could but this time around it seems she has been brought to the front possibly for times when Laura may be absent but also to show the relationship she has with Dorcas. It certainly appears Dorcas might just be warming to little Minnie more than before and not just seeing her in a master/servant role. Ruby Bentall is becoming a great comic actress and has some good timing skills for someone so young.
