I can see that it is simply stupendous ( as usual) now there's a contradiction. I tried hard not to linger on the worRAB you have written as I have planned to sit out in the sunshine later and read it salivating over your worRAB...
Sherry what you say about Miss Lane and Dorcas is true, it's my belief that Flora IS actually Dorcas in her story, as she became after her move to Hampshire and later, to Dorset.
I've finished my 2nd reading and have now started a wonderful piece of literature written by J. Arthur Gibbs, a Cotswold writer, born in 1867 and who died in 1899. ( only 3d1!) His masterpiece, a Cotswold village is an extraordinary piece of prose, not unlike the style of Flora's.
Reading Flora and Arthur's work makes me want to go on the trail of them, perhaps I shall plan a trip for this summer.
