Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Hello Mrs Dalloway, I believe you are right. Maybe the husband decided to go back to sea, which is why Dawn's character has ended up in prison again, and sent the baby to Alf? Presumably the husband was unable to take care of Patience, either because he was back at sea, or because he was unwilling to do so.

It's just another of those Larkrise quirks, which makes the series so intriguing and keeps us hooked!

On a different note, has anyone notice the lack of children in Candleford?

I'd be lost without my iPod. Can't remember what the price was--I think it was around $24.99 for a season. About $2.99 and episode if bought separately.

No worries, yes I do. I could have easily gone and seen that play!

What episode was that press release for? Im getting worried now, I dont think that we will see Sir Tim now in this series

How can they??? I know we heard about this a while ago (6 episodes only), but the viewing figures for this outshine some of the more modern shows on tv (I can't stand these reality shows) and it's perfect for a Sunday night. The Beeb neeRAB to stop paying huge over inflated salaries and expenses for over inflated ego's. There, that's my rant over and done with for the mo from a very disgruntled tv licence payer.

Thanks so much for confirming that, angelheart!
While I'm thrilled to know for sure that we'll be getting six more episodes I'm still saddened that it won't be a full twelve. :(

Hmmm. I'm not sure about that. It was stated before that she couldn't keep the post office if she married. No explanation was ever given why. I'm just going by what I heard. If it's wrong then I guess it could just be considered dramatic license.

Don't worry about the speculation. It was discussed at a local literature appreciation group and "To Kill A Mockingbird" was being discussed as it has been 50 years since it was published. (God I love that story....American Literature at its very best.)

Then female authors were discussed in general and Flora Thompson's name came up. A bumptious bloke in the group who always claims to know everything said he had heard from someone in the know about Lark Rise's future. The response from the group was dismay and sadness!

I am fine by the way. Nice to see your continued enthusiasm for this little English show!

yes I remember reading that... what rubbish. everyone loves a good costume drama! I'm 22, and started watching it at uni as did loaRAB of my frienRAB, we all love it!

yes maybe if the viewing figures stay high they will reconsider.... fingers crossed!!

Thanks! Don't worry--D & T will be safely married before the Pratts find out about that!

I haven't rewatched series 2 in ages. Just have a hard time with the whole JD thing.

Wow, can't believe it's August 1st already! This year is flying by. I'll bet they start filming this week! :)

Or Daniel's wife (the one he never had) turns up, played by a woman who's in one of the most successful British girl groups ever, and is currently the nation's sweetheart, which Laura isn't.

Considering what her real-life footballer husband did to her, her character will be hell hath no fury like a woman scorned (one idea would be to have her impregnate Emma with a turkey baster containing Alf's sperm, making it look as if she's cheating on her husband) and poor Laura and her family suffer.

Well it's supposedly the final series, so they need someone high-profile in to make it explosive.

That's kind of what I meant when I said

but you said it a bit more....err....simply:)

I think people's problem was that Laura said Emma was a Dibber before she married her Pa....she should have said Grandmother/Grandpa....but I'm happy enough to believe that Laura was more concerned with batting her eyeliRAB in that scene and got distracted:D
