Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Very well corrected, I have learnt something tonight.

I completely understand and respect you're a team Angelheart. I myself work for a theatre, a big and very famous one, and we would be nothing without our crew! :)

Welcome back! How's the harp? Hope K's not really MIA and missed you.

Good to hear from QM too.

Can't wait for tonight - binding and gagging male members of household to stop the sarky comments & switching to Top Gear. Setting recorder just in case.;)

TT hope you can stay awake!

I loved the first 2 series of this, but I can't get into this series, it's becoming a weekly soap, and characters I liked have disappeared... it's struggling to make characters different but they are re-hashed models of previous departures IMO. Sorry

Lovely pictures there. They are very attractive girl and woman and well suited to their parts in Larkrise. Dorcas has such character in her face, it is fascinating, I could watch her all day.

I love Queenie and Twister. They look as though they have stepped out of an old painting of countryfolk.

All the characters are attractive and interesting to watch.

I really enjoyed last nights episode of LRtC. I cant work out the "arc" for the series as each week there seems to be something different happening. However, winter evenings would not be the same without escaping to the wonderful world of LRtC.

The only thing I did find a little odd in yesterdays episode was the lack of Sydney. Unless I missed him, I only saw him in the scene in the square at Candleford and surely he would have appeared more in the Post Office.

Overall I am sooooo glad LRtC has returned!!! :)

It will be interestin to see what it is, last series they kind of did the bad weather thing so this disaster might be like a fire or something caused by a person  it says in the hello article though that Dorcas's only love interest in this series is Sidney so thats a lot of my theories gone!

I guess it's what folk get used to! In the UK the main terrestrial channels have so many programmes to schedule at various times throughout the year that it wouldn't be practical to make series' too long! for instance the BBC drama budget is only a percentage of the licence fee. Out of the licence fee also comes funding for Sport, Entertainment, arts, movies, Reality, religion, factual, current affairs, news, and so on! it also has an obligation by law to show a variety of different programme genres as well as fulfilling it's public service remit. Therefore limiting its drama shows to say 6-12 and entertainment shows the same amount it is able to find room to cater for all, and on occasion it is also obliged to show religious ceremonies that wont even rate!

It's James Dowland's lovechild. The mother has died and the boy was sent to a boarding school. He was very unhappy there and JD decided (well, actually, Dorcas decided for him!) to bring him to live with him in Candleford.
But alas, JD was given the elbow by Dorcas, bumped his head badly as he was thrown from a horse, and altogether decided that Candleford was a very unhealthy place for him.
So he rode off into the sunset.

But the boy decided that Dorcas was going to be his mum (well, was persuaded that she would be) and so was left by JD in her tender care. So, there is he.

Thats strange, it said on the website, maybe theres snow travel problems.

LMAO, I wouldnt be surprised to hear that Twisters in charge of it all! That is a great potential storyline if anyone on the show is reading ;)
