Laptops that went from XP -> Vista v.batterylife

on xp i'd get 7 hours and a half on a good day

on vista i get 5 hours and a half on the same day

it costs me two hours just to use vista

btw, how you guys doing?

When I set my power setting to batter life I get way longer times than I did on xp.

yea but from xp to vista with the same battery life settings

i get less on vista

What the heck kind of laptop are you using that used to get 7 hours of life with XP? I'd be lucky to see three hours out of mine.

My times are exactly the same. 3-4 hours on my dell e1505.

2 hours if I run full power - 3 to 3.5 Hours if I run power saver.

on my E1705.

Uses more memory = less battery life.
