Now my Laptop is about......hmm 5 years old? But its pretty good and reliable. I've brought it over from NZ to Australia now and when i play games on it, even some low Quality games, the games start to lag.
Now these games i play were the same ones i played 5 years ago and 1 year ago all on mid qualities or low and they never onced lagged.
In the game, Mount&Blade, i could have as many as 200 active NPC's running around killing each other and there would be no lagging.
Or SW: Battlefront 2, i could have over 800 Units in the active game and it wont lag once.
But now, even when i play games like Gangland and Starwars, it lags horribly. So much that i have to turn the game off and wait for the CPU to go back down from 100% usage.
Could the Video card have been loosened out on the plane or is it a different problem? Maybe its just getting old?
What could the problem be?
I can play small project games and Counterstrike very well.
I dont normally use this one for gaming but its got some specific data that are difficult to transfer to another computer. And besides, it runs really really well.
I have turned every thing off in the background before playing and it lags about 10 minutes into the game.
I never had to do this before.
The RAM cant be full, i haven't added anything new to this laptop. IT is updated as far as it can go and the games are quite old and ran well before i moved to Australia.
I'll look for dust. But i lack a Screw driver that an take out these screws so i'll have to buy one some time this week.
