Grade 7 language arts

In a dictionary look up the following school-related words, and write their definitions and their Greek or Latin roots. Then explain in writing the connection between the root and the definition.

1. Sophomore 2. Junior 3. Senior 4. Student

The problem is idk what to write for the connection between the root and the definition thing part, if anyone could clarify or give an example that would be great, thx.
