...bad. What should I do? Bad smell coming from tenant's apartment. He is in jail. I am the manager in the process of evicting him.
Do I have a legal right to enter the apartment and take care of the smell before the eviction process is over? I began the process before he went to jail, and am in Washington state. I do have an obligation to other tenants to take care of such things. His electric is turned off and the Public Utility District has said that he has to be out of the apartment before I can change it from his name back to the apartments name and get it turned back on again. I am guessing that the smell is coming from garbage and rotting foods etc.
