Land of the Dead????

It could have easily been a 1980s film. The characters are incredibly 2 dimensional and the entire thing felt like a Mad Max with zombies.

It's the kind of thing you expect when your so bored you put on the 10pm Sci-Fi channel movie (god why did I watch Fortress 2 last night).

Good film. Most original idea in the whole film has to be the zombie who's head isn't exactly where you'd expect it to be!

But if you're expecting old Romero, you'll probably be slightly disappointed. This is glossy Romero, and a straight-forward fun zombie movie. Where it differs from "Night", "Dawn" and "Day" is in the lack of atmosphere - the emotional impact of the mounting dread and no escape (so skillfully created in previous outings) is not felt here. The images are there - like the Thunderdome of humans being thrown to the zombies for fun, and the rifle range where zombies are hung upside-down with targets strapped to them - it's just that their impact is diluted. Partly down to the movie's "glossiness". Partly due to using known stars. Partly down to the lack of a Goblin soundtrack.
