Land Before Time Shocker!

Just found out something shocking and very sad...

As a kid two of my favourite movies were 'All Dog's Go to Heaven,' and 'Land Before Time,' absolute classics!

The little girl who voiced Anne-Marie and Ducky (yep, yep, yep) was called Judith Barsi, and she was murdered by her abusive father in 1988 at just 10 years old! I really feel gutted - such a big part of my childhood and I had no idea!

Such a sad story, kinda makes the movies even greater classics now. Poor little kid :cry:
 
I loved Ducky; I was horrified to hear about her murder at the time (I heard about her death some time after 1987's Jaws: The Revenge - she was in that as well - and I couldn't believe it). The full and horrible story is in the book Fade to Black (about entertainment obituaries).

And she was killed before those two movies even came out. :(
 
I only find out recently too that Judith Barsi died in 1988 and I was so shocked. It was also the year that Heather O' Rourke from The Poltergeist films died too. So tragic that two child actresses died in the same year.
 
She died in a car accident in 2001. The original blue and pink rangers went to her funeral. Kinda puts a downer on kid's tv. :(
 
The Land Before Time is actually one of my favourite films...:o
My friend had it when we were about 6, I'll need to ask her to dig it out again:)
