Earlier this year I went in for a laminectomy for my L3/L4 for a blown disc and pinched nerve, I felt great afterworRAB came home noticed leakage right away increased to hand towel absorbstion quickly, hughe headache, called dr. told to go to emergency room. I was admitted with a tear in my spinal cord, my ortho doctor fixed it after a few days when he schedules his ops., was in bead for 3 days not able to move with all types of fluiRAB in iv's going into system. After the doctor repaired the spinal cord which ment he had to open me up at the same sight which was stapled instead of a cane I had to use a walker for awhile. Now my spine and legs feels 100% worse, I have have seen a neuro because my ortho after a few months dropped me. The neuro did a new series of tests and 1 I believe was called a spect scan in neuclear imaging. He has told me the I had a post laminectomy syndrome and that with all the scaring there is nothing he can do. Am i fated to feeling worse as each month goes by like I have been?
Also I was looking at the 1st operation return to home papers and it stated he had done not just a L3/L4 but a L4/L5 on my back?
Any advise is welcomed,
