Apparently my body hates itself, because I slept wrong last night and I can't turn my head left to save my life.
:[
Anybody else sleep wrong last night? haha..

Your spinal column is blocked by a dark Chi.

j/k

Use a heating pad or icy hot. should fix itself in a day or two. Happened to me last year and I couldn't move my head right for two days.

Don't use icy-hot it sucks, get some asprin and that heating pad and make sure you sleep on your back, if you have a boyfriend/husband, get a fucking neck rub your muscles in your neck need to stretch so try to turn it while your getting massaged

You could try to go to a chiropractor. It will fix up your neck nice and quick, and you could probably get all your other bones cracked while you're at it. :D

Yeah, that's happened to me recently, too.

I have a lot of back problems due to a combonation of heavy schoolbooks, bad sleeping habits and oversized breasteses. :/

Over sized breasteses? :woot:

Nah, seriously. What you had is actually a pretty normal thing. It's amazing how if we sleep just a little wrong during the night, how fucked our bodies can become. Even if you don't go to the chiro or use icy hot or anything, it should still be gone within a few days.

I was doing a great job sleeping last night-- until my dog decided to use my nad-satchel as a spring board. It took the entire time between the moment of impact and the point I regained my breath to restrain myself from breaking her little neck! Talk about a rude awaking.

It's funny you should mention this, because the same thing happened to me a couple of nights ago. Decided to look up some information on sleeping and found:

Sleep Position Gives Personality Clue - BBC News

If you want an insight into somebody's true personality, then try to catch a glimpse of the way they sleep. Scientists believe the position in which a person goes to sleep provides an important clue about the kind of person they are.

Professor Chris Idzikowski, director of the Sleep Assessment and Advisory Service, has analysed six common sleeping positions - and found that each is linked to a particular personality type.

"We are all aware of our body language when we are awake but this is the first time we have been able to see what our subconscious posture says about us.

"What's interesting is that the profile behind the posture is often very different from what we would expect."

The Foetus: Those who curl up in the foetus position are described as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they first meet somebody, but soon relax.

This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by 41% of the 1,000 people who took part in the survey. More than twice as many women as men tend to adopt this position.

Log (15%): Lying on your side with both arms down by your side. These sleepers are easy going, social people who like being part of the in-crowd, and who are trusting of strangers. However, they may be gullible.

The Yearner (13%): People who sleep on their side with both arms out in front are said to have an open nature, but can be suspicious, cynical. They are slow to make up their minds, but once they have taken a decision, they are unlikely ever to change it.

Soldier (8%): Lying on your back with both arms pinned to your sides. People who sleep in this position are generally quiet and reserved. They don't like a fuss, but set themselves and others high standards.

Freefall (7%): Lying on your front with your hands around the pillow, and your head turned to one side. Often gregarious and brash people, but can be nervy and thin-skinned underneath, and don't like criticism, or extreme situations.

Starfish (5%): Lying on your back with both arms up around the pillow. These sleepers make good friends because they are always ready to listen to others, and offer help when needed. They generally don't like to be the centre of attention.

The remainder of those in the poll said the position they fell asleep varied or did not know.

The same thing happened to me a couple months back. Luckily, it happened the first day of a trip to the Hot Springs.

A heating pad works well (so does soaking in hot springs!)

That was the first time I've had anything like that happen, and I was actually quite scared. I couldn't move my neck at all, and it was at a funny angle. I could move my neck up after the first day and then to the sides after another day. Four days to a week later I was okay.

yeah, that kinda happened to me too, but i lost all blood flow to my arm and couldn't move it to scratch my nose. it felt like rubber. it took half an hour to regain control of my arm......by then my nose really itched

The worst thing that happens to me is that I wake up with one of my arms asleep and I can't feel it at all for a minute or so.. although I have had a sore neck after sleeping a few times. It is really annoying.
