Sounds like it will be a good showing. I am excited as I have never been. I am all for meetin up and having some dinner, even though I am still a Ducati Spot poser until I actually get a Duc. I am thinking I am going to get tickets, turn 4 seats, and paddock passes. Will figure the place to stay as we go.

there is really no bad way to go, first year I went I camped an hour away, drove in and had a blast, last year I stayed in carmel.
My girl and I like the hillside for the race (we can see the majority of the track in one spot)
parking is a pain witout a bike so get passes to park.
Imho, flagroom or any other laguna suite option is the way to go. (Open bar, breakfast and lunch, cc tv, shade)
This year I took the week off to stay in carmel after the races. There is so much excitment race weekend I feel like I need a vacation so I took one.

Been going for 5 years (04 was Superbike). It's a lot of fun, you're going to have a blast.

To me, the best places to sit, are either The Hill Turn 4 (you see Turn 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & the big screen TV. Or, The Hill Turn 2, which you see all of the above (except the TV) but from another angle.

Turn 4 has a great view, but Turn 2 is *really* exciting to watch from because it's such a tricky corner. You almost always see double overtakes in Turn 2, where someone will out brake someone else in 2a, but they get repassed by the same guy in 2b. Awesome corner!

And of course, during practice or Qualifying, you *must* make your way over to the Corkscrew to witness that. The Corkscrew is WAY steeper than it looks on tv.

Ryan,
You and your girl better be saving an evening with my clan! Jen and I def' want to meet up with you two, as long as you can tolerate spending a couple of hours with my 5 and 3 year olds! LOL!!

Joel - Absolutley. I have a dinner spot we can bring the kids to. Did you find a house yet? Anyways, looking forward to the races, but I've gotta get back to a cert class. We'll figure out more later, let me know what days you'll be up there.

Me and the wife are coming down from Portland. Haven't decided if we are riding or trailering the 1098 and CBR 954. We grabbed Turn 4, paddock passes, and bike parking and 3 day general admin. This is our first trip to Laguna so I am already bouncing off the walls. Paying up the arse for hotel though at the Hyatt Regencey Monterey Resort.
