Does he refuse the seat because he thinks it might break?

That's what I'm doing for my monologue in English but I need some help writing it.
I'm thinking about doing something along the lines of that chair breaking.
So he'd be thinking 'oh, she's out to get me, and she's probably loosened the hinges of this chair so I could make a complete fool out of myself.' And go on about other things, saying how uptight etc. she is.
Can you give me a few lines to put in the monologue.
