I went to a Ford garage to enquire about a new car, and got the slimiest patronising salesman ever! He wanted to know what the car was to be used for (driving?), and then said "just shopping and stuff like that?". Much as I'd love to spend my womanly days shopping, I do venture to work now and then. Have I been transported back to the 50's, or should I just shut up and be grateful I am allowed to drive a car and use it for shopping and transferring my homemade cakes to and from the WI?
