Before I go to my doctor to get this checked out, I need to know if it's possible.
I've always been a big milk drinker (love the stuff) but about a year ago I started getting a really irritated stomach/intestines when I drank milk before noon. I had bad gas, something that felt similar to heartburn but didn't hurt as much, and a really queasy, uneven stomach. It only happened in the morning.
NOW, it's starting to happen at dinner times too. Same symptoms, milk is the only commonality that I can find. Lunch times are still completely free of these issues though. It's just Breakfast, and now dinner.
SO my questions are
1) Can someone develop lactose intolerance after 20 years of being a milk drinker?
2) Can I be intolerant only at certain points in the day?
3) Will I eventually be completely lactose intolerant?
4) If this isn't an intolerance W. T. H. is it??
