Lack of courtesy in emails?

Do you find it really rude when someone writes you an email asking for help, and so you spend a longg time getting the information and spend a longggg time writing out a nice clear email response that helps them, but then they never reply back to simply say "thanks"?

i found this really rude and it happens a lot.
