And you aren't the only one who thought that about Bowie hun -- he has yet to show me that he can't be sexy, and that's just my personal opinion. He rocks the casbah

. My recommendation is to buy "Best of Bowie"; it's an amazing collection of his work, if you're into that sort of thing, meaning his music.

The DVD rocks my world, I just bought it after growing up on the movie taped off of a movie channel by my auntso many years ago, and I luuurrrrve it. The Behind-the-Scenes schpiel is the best 'cause it's so informative and fun to watch, and plus -- we get to see The Puppetmaster, God rest his soul. That man is a creative genius.

Also, I suggest all of you drop what you're doing at this second and buy the soundtrack to the film -- it's bloody amazing (might have something to do with Bowie...who knows

). There has never been a song or songs that can get me to shake my money maker the way "Underground" or "Magic Dance" can. If they ever started playing at a club or in a public place, I wouldn't hesitate to embarrass both myself and anybody I was with at the time.

I am still amazed that whenever I watch this movie...I sort of fall in love with Jareth and wish that she stayed with him....even though her brother would have become a goblin..

I love this movie. It is sad how many times my sister and I have watched it. It's the one and only thing we can agree on - the greatness of Labyrinth.

I love the songs and I am constantly getting weird looks in my chorale classes when I will spontaneously burst out singing "Dance magic, dance!" Ah, I  David Bowie!

Love this movie. I tried to buy the soundtrack last year but it was never distributed in Australia. Bugger it!
Love the song so much though! Even though some of the words are hard to understand :D

Do as I say and I will be your slave!
Erm....okay how does that work? :look:

OMG. This movie brings backs memories of me being a kid lol. I watched it at my Uncle's for the first time to. But i havent seen this movie in a really long time..... I remember some of it but not all of it.

This movie is so incredibly stupid to watch but at the same time I can't help but love certain parts. The worm cracks me up every time. He's just too cute; I love his accent. I also think it is hilarious that when the girl is putting lipstick on the stones to find her way back, those things that turn them over say something like, "Your mother is a faggot ardvark!" really quickly. Those things that chase the Hoggle (??) guy and the girl that are riding bikes on the back are really funny. That one fox guy is so cute too. David Bowie's dancing is a riot in Magic Dance. Why in the world does he push his nose to turn his head in that one scene? Does he think that is sexy? It is scary. I guess my uncle used to go around pulling his pants up really high and dancing saying, "I'm David Bowie!" because of this movie. haha. It's such a classic. It keeps me laughing and reminds me of being a kid.

OK, Labyrinth - classic. Like prettylittleroswellian it's one of the first movies I really remember watching when I was young. My best friend and I watched it practically once a day.

The whole little speech Sarah says out of her book, I knew it all word for word.

"You have no power over me."

Me, too! And his faithful steed, Ambrosia is so cute.

The DVD is very cool.

It's got a making-of documentary with behind the scenes stuff and interviews.

Sir Didymus rocks my world. I just love that fiesty little dog.

I'm so glad theres a thread for this movie. I grew up watching Labyrinth and I love it so much.

My Grandad used to drive Jim Henson around and he gave him a master copy of the movie before it came out. My Grandad passed it on to me and I treasure it.

I loved everything about the movie....the characters, the music, the bizzare places they end up in.

Great movie. Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie were so great in their roles. I have to buy on DVD one of these days.

I'm so glad someone made a thread about this movie. I absolutley love this movie, it is definatly on my top five list!!!!!! The part that gets me the most is when ludo, huggle, and sir didymus want to go with sara to defeat Jareth, but she says she has to go alone. I always want to cry(and i am holding back now) when they "should you need us" awwww, that is just the best scene!!! LABYRINTH RULES!!!!!!!!

This movie was my childhood. I used to watch it all the time (I still do. lol.) I don't yet have it on DVD I'm going to wait till the collectors edition comes out, it should be out soon. I've got the soundtrack, which is amazing. David Bowie is so great in it and I so wanted to be Sarah.

I always forget that I have this movie on tape somewhere, I have to look for it and watch it again! It's a great movie. Although when I was little and it first came out, it used to scare me. Plus, David Bowie was just scary looking in it
eek.gif
All those creatures she meets and getting lost in the Labrynth! I thought that if I fell asleep something like that would happen to me
lol.gif

:smirk: I think I kind of yelled at him...saying that I tried to get him to watch it once, and he wouldn't.
