Jennifer Connelly was soo young in this. And had weird chemistry with David Bowie

My nephew Bob, watched it at his other grandmother's house a couple of weeks ago...and asked me if I ever saw it....

I set him straight.

I, too, am guilty of watching this movie for no reason. It is just a good movie. I like to watch it from time to time, and now my nieces and nephews like it, too.

Love this movie! Always takes me back to when I was little. I just watched it recently and even though it's one of my favorites the special effects made me laugh.

You know....I could never get "into" Legend...{shrug} I didn't like the dwarfy guy...He was icky.

Labyrinth is one of those movies that I have to watch at least once a month...I don't know why...I just love it that much...:D

I know it's a silly movie, and lots of overacting is going on...but it has such...charm..I guess is the only word that fits...:D

I have always loved this movie.

Someday I want to get a giant dog and name it Ludo.

This movie is good. I havent seen it in awhile but it cracked me up and that babe song :lmao:

I loved this movie when I was younger. I use to sing with my sis " you remind me of the baby, what babe, the babe with the power....."

I used to watch this movie when I was little and it would scare me to death...but I couldn't help but watch. Anytime I saw that it was on tv, I would watch it, partially scared of the entire thing. But I hadn't seen it in about 10 years, sad I know.
So yesterday my brother and I were in Wal-Mart and I saw the DVD for $10. I had to buy it. We watched it last night and I couldn't believe how much of it I actually remembered. But instead of being scary, I was able to laugh at the funny parts and just enjoy the entire experience. I think it's a fantastic movie and should be reintroduced to the unfortunate people who have never even heard about it.

That is so true! Back in the day I so wanted to look like her in that scene but in reality her hair is so huge!

Actually, my sister is the one who really loves this movie. But then something happened in the last, few times we've watched it together...

:look:

I started liking it myself.

Make that loving, actually.

:)

It's not to par with my most, beloved fantasy movie Legend, but it definitely is a great fantasy movie. With a great soundtrack to boot.

And David Bowie as Jareth... :thud:

P.S. The Dark Crystal is great too.

Looking back now, I see how illegally big her hair was in that scene -- I swooned along with everyone else and wished I could look like her, but seeing it now makes me laugh, 'cause her hair in and of itself is a character of the movie in that scene.

No way!! i did not know that! it would make really good sense though, i mean he was overly "buldgy"! :smirk:

I get on kicks where I watch it for a week, straight...and then I don't watch it for months...and then I watch it over and over...

It's really weird.

It's the same with The Dark Crystal.

I love this movie. Me and my friend used to watch this everyday. I used to and still want a big white ball gown like Sarah's. The masquarde party was my favorite scene. When Jareth would throw Toby in the air I would get so scared he would drop him.
I bought the DVD and love the behind the scenes.

Totally. And when she was wearing that big, fancy dress during the "masked ball" scene...my little girl heart was all a flutter.
