My husband wanted me to ask this question. He drives about a 100 miles a day on this pick-up truck. The last few days, the truck is gradually overheating and is getting worse by the day. He (my husband) wants to know what are some of the things he can check for to see what the problem is?
OOPS! I MEANT 1986

Is it using water? 1. flush the radiator 2. make sure here is a 70/30 mix of antifreeze and water 3.clean the bugs out of radiator by spraying a garden hose backwards through it [engine off] have a compression test done add more details like engine size trans a/c or not thermostat wouldn't hurt either change it first

if it has a 2.2 4cyl it could be the head gasket....or more commonly a failing thermostat or clogged radiator
