L7c Skins - Broken Directories??

Hello All! I've had success connecting my L7c and creating/uploading skins for the phone using Skinner4moto and p2k commander. The problem is - for some reason, the directories of the skins seem to be write protected?? I can use commander/skinner UNINSTALL feature to uninstall the skin, which deletes all skin files for that skin, but the directory stays there empty and commander says "Generic Failure!" when attempting to delete it. Anyone else run into this problem?

I cant seem to connect with bitpim. I did some research and found out I should manually configure it to "Other CDMA" phones since it does not auto detect the L7c - but when I attempt to view the directories, it just attempts to connect forever but does nothing. any ideas?
