I have had a total of 4 fusion at l4-l5. Broken Hardware, Broken Bone, Failed Fusion. I am now living in constant pain and take 60mg of Oxycodone/day. This is not enough. My new symptom are weakness and pain in my right leg and butt which were never an issue. The nurabness is profound. I have bladder problems now and I assume something is amiss at a lower level. Has anyone had this many fusions on one level and what are your issue with scar tissue? My PT tries to massage me and said there was no point, it was so scarred, loosening or breaking up would be fruitless.

I have had two fusions at l2-S1 and the second time it was extended to T9. My back broke above the first fusion when they got me up to walk the first day. Secind surgery one week later fused me from my sacrum to right where your bra hits. My surgeon, at two years, finally told me that I will live with some degree of pain the rest of my life.

The problem with scar tissue is that some people develop it and some don't. And if you go in to clean it out, it may come back with a vengence. And it's hard to break up-and painful. I've got the T shirt for that one.

60 mg. of Percoset isn't alot for the type of pain you are having. Odd question, but have you told your surgeon that you are having bladder problems? This isn't something to mess around with. If you let this go you could end up with major problems. You need to be seen by someone-and take someone, as in another adult that knows you, along to verify the problems. That and it's always good to have another set of ears. PLease get in to see your surgeon. And keep posting...we have good listening fingers.... ;)
