I had my MRI and visit with my surgeon. I get a fusion, L4/L5. I've had a microdicectomy and laminectomy in the past (same location). Now, it's almost bone on bone grinding. I know it's going to be a more difficult recovery, but I'm just glad that the pain will be gone. Sad part is, this is the second surgeon I've talked to. The first one said there was nothing wrong with me, all my symptoms are from my medicine... Yea, right.
I'm just kind of looking for others that have had fusions... how'd it go? Was it worse or better than expected?
I'm 34, in good shape otherwise, and heal quickly usually. I'm hoping it's a normal recovery and nothing goes wrong.
