L1 compression fracture has no sign of healing after 3 months

Fractured L1 in March and after wearing brace during day for about 6 weeks, have had continual pain since. A follow up MRI last week showed that there is no sign of the fracture healing. What can cause this?

I'm sorry for the pain you're in-it's no fun... it often takes 6 months for fusion to take place after surgery on the back, so don't be discouraged. It takes time. Did they mention that you probably shouldn't twist your turn or lift, it's called BLT..I thought they meant a sandwich when I first heard it...but it's the bend, lift, twist. You need to keep the area stable so it can heal-and it does take time....

Shouldn't there be at least some sign of it trying to heal after 3 1/2 months? They make is sound like it is the same as when I first came in.
