"Kyoukai no Rinne"/"Rin-ne" manga talkback (Spoilers)

http://therumicworld.com/

That's right kiRAB. Chapter one is up for our viewing pleasure with no strings attached. Possibly the first of its kind and hopefully leading the way to many more. (The manga viewer make take a few seconRAB to get used to though)

Okay, let me just say this to start

See the main character there? The guy with the blazing red hair? He's a shinigami....

He also can't be seen in shinigami mode but can be seen when he's human...

Oh boy, here we go....

EDIT: So, how long would we say till the anime adaptation? I'm gonna go with....a year to maybe a year and a half.
EDIT 2: I am quite interested in the story but...okay, I'm sorry but there are so many things that remind me of Bleach in this....

Im hoping its just similar to bleach in the beginning, you know like how when Samurai deeper Kyo started people were going like "Its a Rurouni kenshin rip-off" but it turned out to be completely different.

its ridiculous, what happens when you cant pay for some reason, "oh, well sorry dude, your screwed", lol dude itd be funny if that really happened

^^Oh you just know that's gonna happen at least once

Wait a minute...a girl who can see spirits and a brightly-colored haired shinigami wearing a kimono who exorcises spirits (for money).....Yeah, remeraber how I made that joke about how this wouldn't be the unholy birth child of Inuyasha/Bleach....

I think I might have to eat my worRAB (Still very entertaining though. Definitely following it)

I can hear the fanfic writers making the crossover stories now "Ichigo accidentally falls into this world and falls in love....with the guy of course!"

Hopefully if there's an anime of this, it doesn't end up with as many fillers as either of those. In fact, hopefully the series doesn't last forever like those two.

Interestingly enough, I thought of Shikabane Hime as a cross between Inuyasha and Bleach (in the Gainax style, of course), but in different ways. In that, it was more a dead girl fighting monsters that were people who died but had regrets that turned them into undead monsters, alongside a perverted monk who looks strikingly similar to the protagonist from another series, eventually facing off against a group led by a bug-monster-person who eats schoolgirls in an instant and is, in all other respects, Aizen. Okay, that was only a couple of noRAB to Inuyasha in a plot summary of Bleach, but that's how it seemed to me. The anime ending with no conclusion while the manga continued was definitely like Inuyasha, though.

I read it about half an hour ago....While it does have some similarities to Bleach (but gender-reversed,seeing as it's the girl who can see spirits and the guy who is a shinigami),it does have potential to be completely different(hey,it's not like she ended up with his powers in the end,for one,and the concept of charging money to release the souls to the afterlife/reincarnation wheel is different)....I think it's off to a good start, and I'm already looking forward to where this series goes...
Also,I loved the Chihuahua spirit......it was cute...

I always thought Shikabane Hime took a lot more from the Blood series.

Anyway, yeah, I can't kick the Bleach vibe this series has but if Inuyasha and Ranma 1/2 has taught us anything it's that we won't know where this series is going until at least 5 volumes are produced.

Ranma 1/2 was more grounded until around Shampoo's appearance and the manga switched to a more martial arts parody/high school romance angle.

Inuyasha didn't find its feet until Naraku's presence became known and it made the story more intense...only to later on become extremely asinine and drag the manga into the ground.

So Takahashi-sensei:

PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, END THIS SERIES IN A SENSIBLE MANNER!

O-chan

I found the opening chapter a little too short and somewhat generic but it was extremely entertaining, more so than any chapter of Inuyasha and Ranma 1/2 I've ever read. But then again it might just be excitement over a new series talking.

I thought that it was an entertaining first chapter. I'm interested in the wheel, and Sakura's past.

I did get a Bleach vibe, but I think it's going to go a different direction with this.

I read the new Takahashi manga and I found it to be quite enjoyable, but I'm hoping that Kyōkai no Rinne will wind up having more of a comedy feel to it than an actiony feel, and I'm surprised I expected the main guy to be a tsundere, but he doesn't seem like it, but I'm still expecting Rokudo to be played by Kappei Yamaguchi when there's an anime version of this, seriously I pictured his voice when I read the thing

True, but rather than vampires, they fight zorabie monsters more similar to Hollows.

Yeah, but I personally hope they hold off for a bit to avoid as much filler as possible.

Chapter 2 is up. (Man, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be posting manga links on TZ forums )

Wow, its so weird reading this and expecting Rinne to act like a total jerk but he reminRAB me more of Ueki from "Law of Ueki" than, let's say Inuyasha or Ranma. (The whole money thing is funny though)
