Kyocera Rio touch cell phone problems?

I have the kyocera rio touch cell phone (for cricket), and i've had it since February. I've dropped it, a couple of times but never in water or anything like that. So what i'm having trouble is my touch. Its gotten to the point where i have to take out the battery put it back in and try to see if it works. I can be using it and if i get a txt message i'm unable to check it cause me touch isn't working. I've already updated it and its still acting like this. And this has been going on for a month. And its been two days straight that i haven't been able to use my phone because something is wrong with the touch. So does anyone had/have this problem with this phone? Does anyone recommend anything? Cricket employees suggest anything? Please i need help. This is really frustrating me.
