ridiculous...?
Isn't things like this obvious proof that NASCAR has a major say in the outcome of the races. Without the handicap I'm sure a CHEVY (NASCARS favorite brand) would not have got in victory lane. It's right under our noses yet no one sees it?? They will be controlling everything before long.
beth you are forgetting who has the most wins in teh cup series this season, and Bodine does not count since he doesn't even race in the cup series. Try again.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. Kyle Busch and Todd Bodine are Toyota drivers. Of course they are going to say that's why they couldn't win. I don't think of NASCAR's rule changes as handicapping Toyota. It was just leveling the playing field. They just don't have the horsepower advantage they were used to. What was done was actually kinda fair if you take the time to look at it. The Toyota motors are much more modern (and I will admit - far superior) and built to different specs. Ford and Chevy both have (and I think that Dodge is working on - or at least was) new engines available for use, but NASCAR isn't allowing them to use their new technologies just yet. It's not like NASCAR is giving Ford, Dodge, or Chevy the horsepower advantage either. Due to all the uproar earlier this year in the Nationwide Series, NASCAR is just keeping a much closer eye on the horsepower figures than ever before and trying to maintain some sort of "fair play" here.

Besides, with as money-hungry as NASCAR has become, and the gloomy economic forecast, don't you think that if NASCAR WERE playing favorites they would go where the money is?

And where is all the money right now?

That's right, Toyota's got it while the U.S. "Big 3" are struggling badly....

Just my opinion....

Toyota isn't handicapped in the cup series and I don't see Bodine and Kyle dominating there.

Yeah it's possible but the 33 has been the best chevrolet the last two years no matter which track the series is at. Even Kyle admitted that the 33 has something figured out at the 1.5 mile tracks like the JGR nationwide cars do
