KX5 SPC Code

Does anyone know how to obtain my SPC code without calling cricket? I have tried BitPim but it will not recognize my phone ( i believe because i am using a bluetooth-to-usb adapter) PLZ HELP! :doh:
 
:lolup: OK I was able to receie my SPC (secondary sublot code) from 611 customer service the first try. I advised that i needed it to sync the phone up with a program so i can pull off the contacts etc.. the rep gave it to me with no hesitation. NOW my problem is with BitPim.. I am using an Insten Bluetooth adapter to pair to my comp. KPST is able to detect my phone so i am good there, however BitPim cannot recognize the phone. I keep hearing that file transfers ARE possible through Bitpim on a Cricket KX5... But I don't want to have to buy the USB and software ( approx $40-60). I was considering buying a usb-SDcard reader to make the data trx possible ( trx files to SD card straight from PC) But I really don't want to buy any more accessories...
The Insten Bluetooth adapter runs on a program called BlueSoleil. If anyone knows how to trx using bluetooth pls let me know. thanks :disappoin
 
I downloaded QPST and it works much like bitpim except i can access everything from it. I am finally able to transfer ringtones, pictures, wallpaper, music, and almost any other file to and from my KX5 and PC via BLUETOOTH. Also, using KPST i was able to extend my video record time to 255 secs, as well as extend my voice memo time. You can tweak other settings as well, like enabling "Cricket clicks" without paying the activation fee... WOW i love these tools. :bulging: :hehehe:
 
:confused: What exactly do you mean by enabling cricKet clicKs? Did you actually download and pay for an application or just browse the catalog and view the info for the apps? Cuz I could look at anything on there before signing up, but try to download something and it would say I needed to subscribe to the service. If you can download without signing up, what was the setting you changed? I've never seen any settings in the BREW parameters that pertained to what you have done. I'm pretty sure it is a network controled function, not the phones.
 
I just checked ti and you are right.. i cannot download anything on cricket clicks. But before i changed some of the brew settings i wasn't even able to access the catalog. It stopped me with a message like "you have not subscribed to this service" So at least i was able to see what they had to offer before paying the 10$ and i don't feel interested. lol
 
what program did u tell cricket u were using? i would love to know, cause i was going to call them in the am to get the spc. i don't want them to ask me anything that i cannot answer. also, were do i get qpst and the kpst? thanks in advance for the help!

and to be honest i guess i was lucky because i jus told her "a program to synch my contacts and pc" when i said spc she asked did i mean the "sublot code" i told her yes i needed the secondary sublot code and she first wanted me to verify my esn...but after telling her that i was on the phone and that i would have to call back..she just gave it to me anyway. she didn't seem apprehensive about it really. Well good luck! now i'm working on customizing the slide up/down and other system sounRAB. :clapping:
 
Cricket and Kyocera pissed me off. I tried calling this morning to get my spc.
Cricket refered me to kyocera twice. So my new plan is to buy a verizon razr v3m and make cricket cough up the $269 I paid for me phone while activating the razr.
 
Just call cricket back and if you get someone that don't know what the hell your talking about tell them to just read off all the nurabers they have for your account.

I just bought my KX5 3 days ago and love it tho the bluetooth is pissing me off. I'm unsure if I would be able to use my bluetooth to transfer files because the only option I have on my phone for bluetooth is to send the vcard.. But my cell is for us cellular
 
I am having some serious problems with qpst and kpst, i try and read the spc, but when i click read phone it asks 4 spc i enter 000000 but it fails and locks me out for 10 seconRAB, on my nokia phone diego works great, but i can't get q/kpst to work, please help
