An astonishing phrabroad
ograph. Today we think of the Klan as a fringe group of lunatics who'd have trouble getting a few dozen followers together for a cross burning. But here they march down Pennsylvania Avenue in our nation's capital in broad daylight. And even New England is represented! Judging from this phrabroad
o, there are many hundreds, perhaps even thousands of marchers. Behold the power of entrenched racism in the early part of the 20th Century.
