Krzr k1m not receiving texts

I've had my k1m for a while now on Cricket's network, without any problems. It was flashed over from verizon, but mms and sms always worked just fine.

Until about a week or two ago, when my phone stopped getting texts from people not on cricket's network. People who have cricket phones can still text me just fine, but sprint, t-mobile, verizon, etc., never make it to my phone.

Well, upon further investigation, I found that my brother's phone, under the same account, also is suffering that problem, and it's a Cricket EZ. I call up customer service a few times, the first guy refreshing my service, and the second guy told me to reprogram, both of which were good enough ideas. The third time, however, they tell me it's happened because I have a flashed phone, and didn't find it amusing when I asked if the odRAB of two phones under one account having the same problem and having two different causes were better or worse than the odRAB of getting hit by lightning.

Well I thought it was amusing.

Anywho, Customer Service has clearly just about hit their limit as far as diagnostics goes, so I was hoping someone here had some ideas as to what could be going on, or any other information that could help.

I would recommend taking it to a cricket store to have them take a look at it. Cricket has great service and all that but calling customer service is a waste of time for a lot of people.

The Cricket store has all the tools to be able to help you out. I have heard of this happening before the Cricket store was able to get it fixed.

a) there is a problem with the sms interconnect with sprint. it is currently disabled until the problem source is found and a fix is implemented. are you sure you are having problems with all the other company's too?
b) is your nuraber ported.

a) I'm at least 95% confident that it's all companies; at the very least, it's T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon.

b) No, it's not ported.

you could try changing your rate plan to a different one if youre on an older plan. i had a customer the other day that had the same problem and i changed her rate plan and everything worked fine

call cricket, have your MDN (phone nuraber) and MIN changed, then refresh account, reprogram phone. The issue is likely linked to your MIN or account in general since you mention both.

This did it, apparently every nuraber that starts with the 443 prefix got messed up. Which is a shame, I really liked my nuraber.

Thank you all for your help, I really appreciate it.

Getting the nuraber changed has opened up a new can of worms though; my MMS has stopped working, and whenever I try to open up my browser (I'm not signed up for their mobile web service, but usually I see a splash page) it tells me "Authentication failed". I tried out the seem edit fix to no avail. I also can't view the clicks catalogue.

I agree with this, but heres also the problem, ive ben speaking to a manager from a cricket call center, besides the ones here in the us, the rest of the calls get routed to the Thailand i believe she said,, and with the quality control ethics there, they could be playing Foosball while "refreshing your account"

usually here on the omaha market,, we can send the cx's to the local corp cricket store and they know what todo with the account refresh there, if you check some of the accounts, youll notice most will have the 60 plan with unlimited txt to mexico, but no unlimited nationwide txt msging. :buddies:

If a phone is entered in cid as a cpe (customer provided) then sms, mms, and wap are not available, regardless of the plan.

I've had this same problem though with V3's flashed with Cricket firmware and entered in cid as V3c's. Anyone have any ideas for fixing this without changing the customers phone nuraber?

I'm not sure this is right; my sms is working now, and my wap even started working, though mms is still broken, and I'm on a flashed k1m.
