KRZR K1 vs K790a

I'm resarching on my next phone and have narrowed it down to the Motorola KRZR K1 and the Sony Ericsson K970a. Both have A2DP, EDGE and an 850 band which are a primary requisites for my next phone.

I was wondering what everyone's opinions on these phones are.
 
k790a has a 3.2 megapixel camera, autofocus, xenon flash, and it depends of which UI you like, but id get the K790a if i were u, almost the same price, but the k790a has a much much better camera and hardware on it
 
actually, I like the KRZR more than the K790 because the SE seems to be too bulky to me, its not as smooth and fluid a design...plus the the KRZR phones have a little bit of a UI tweak too and its quadband. If you want good UI and camera, you can't go wrong with the SE though.
 
The KRZR is a gorgeous object to look at, touch, hold, and use. Feels great in the hand and when talking on it.

Beyond that, the k790 wins in a landslide. Display, features, UI, camera, responsiveness ... you name it. The K1 has a decent 2mp camera with no flash and a music player with basic functions and a lag when you switch tracks. But the UI and display feel very "last generation" to me.

The k790 is just a top notch device all the way around.

Because I haven't bought my new phone yet. =p

But I think I've already decided that although the K1 looks way cool, the K790a has more of fuctionality I need in a phone. Plus I need a semi-decent camera and since the Cybershot phone has a decent one built-in I don't have to spring for a seperate one.

Thanks for everyone's input though, I found it very useful.
 
Basically, since they started selling RAZRs to everyone and thier mother. The upcoming maxx is the only moto "flagship" phone that I see as a serious cross-brand contender though, that is if the can get it to market soon enough (and hopfully with the JUIX OS).
 
I haven't quite gotten a K790a, but I did get it's sibling the Royal Silver K800i Casino Royale Edition. I basically got it because I liked the case color and all the cool extras from the Bond movie.

I'll probably get a K790a down the road. I plan to get an unlimited data plan when I renew my contract and I'm going to need the EDGE capabilities, but for now I'm enjoying the K800i immensely.
 
Samsung D900, i have had this phone it is brilliant, camera is same as K790a, except K790a has brighter flash, but video recording is far better on D900 than K790a. It is pretty much same thing except it is thinner and it is a slider
 
I've thought about getting a D900, Samsung packed a ton of features on such a thin slider. The only drawback is that it basically looks like ever other slider that Samsung ever made. Do they have any other color than black? =p
