I was just watching Krusty Gets Busted, and picked up on two things I never did before:
the first is something the kids say to Marge while watching Itchy & Scratchy "Of course you don't understand the humor, Mom. If it were meant for adults to understand the humor, it would be on Prime Time"
The second thing is during Sideshow Bob's "Choices" interview with Bart. The "Big Shoes to Fill" moment isn't the biggest giveaway--in fact it shouldn't have been--that Sideshow Bob was the culprit; he basically gives himself away at another moment:
Bart is mentioning that the crook was reading a copy of Springfield Review, and that Krusty can't read, to which Sideshow Bob himself pulls out a copy of the Springfield Review he has on his table in "Choices" to show Bart how enjoyable it is.
He really doesn't think his plots out that far ahead, apparently....
