Koi Ev-DO?

I know that the KOI has been discontinued with Cricket and from what I can tell everyone else. I was just wondering if anyone know's why? Where there just to many problems with this model? I have to say after having this phone for over a year I have not had any problems and I really love it. Also thanks to Berry Ithird's very informative post http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=620434&highlight=koi
I have been able to make this phone do everything. Anyway I was wondering if there where any thought's on Cricket's upcoming EV-DO service and the KOI. Will I be ok or am I going to have to get the REMIX to enjoy this upcoming service.

why is it that people always ask why phones that were first approved 2 years ago have been discontinued? they are always coming out with new models blah blah blah... i answer this question a hundred times a month in my stores
 
Instead of being an *** why don't you just give a simple answer. Will the Koi be able to use the EV-DO service. GOD I asked as nice as possible and I searched for the answer. I for one come to topic specific forums for information and there friendly community, not smart *** answer's from a guy that works in a cell phone store

No, IIRC, The KOI is only 1X (or just plain Digital) compatable. You will need to upgrade to a different phone in order to get access to the EVDO services.

sorry didn't mean to be an *** i was in a bit of a rush yesterday trying to sort things out after getting back from a week in houston.

none of the phones currently available will work with the evdo. not even cricket's razr. this is what i heard anyways. but the razr does at least have the evdo radio... so maybe things will change in that regard. expect a couple of new phones when evdo launches, from what i hear they began testing it on data carRAB about 1-2 months ago or so.
