Knight Rider movie

Hi everyone.

I remember reading a while ago on this forum that there was going to be a Knight Rider movie starring Paul Walker as Hasselhoff son. Does anyone know what has happened to this project?

Taking a look on IMDB the film has a status of 'Unknown' and only Sammo Hung and David Hasselhoff are attached to the picture. Sammo is directing and Hasselhoff plays Michael Knight. I get the feeling this film isn't going to take place now.
 
That's an awful shame...

A lot of old 70's and 80's series being remade for the big screen ie Starsky & Hutch, Dukes of Hazzard....

Knight Rider was the best of the bunch... and it would be awesome to see how Michael Knight would deal with today society :cool:
 
Michael Knight will be played by Hasselhoff is the film is ever made. He has taken over the Foundation after the death of Devon Miles. The rumour was always for Michael's son to become the next Knight Rider. Maybe someone like Seann William Scott could be a next generation Knight Rider.
 
Listening to an interview with david Hasselhoff on the radio, he said he like Orlando Bloom for the part as Bloom is a hugh fan of the show and said knight rider was the reason he became an actor
 
Michael...., I mean David - will be on Jonathan Ross, tonight, KR will be brought up, so perhaps we'll have some info tonight.

Been looking forward for a Knight rider movie for ages I'd love it if K.I.T.T
was back as he was in the 80's with super pursuit mode and even the Knight no plate as in KR2000 and Team Knight rider K.I.T.T was there but the transram wasn't
 
I like the idea of this, but its going to be pants if its anything like the versions that came out after the original tv series ended. [K.I.T.T 2000 and all that].

one of those things that has to be done properly like a new ateam movie.
 
David Hasselhoff said last night on the Jonathan Ross that he Will be in the new Knight rider movie I hope K.I.T.T comes back just how he was in the 80's show
 
I think the 1st movie should be wiped out from everyone memories :D

Just like the Star Wars Holiday Special tv movie, nobody remembers it. That's why the Star Wars franchise is such a success :rolleyes:
 
K.I.T.T's body was broken up and sold off in the Knightrider 2000 movie. Micheal went nuts and said "how could you do this" etc and stole the few remaining parts and installed K.I.T.Ts main computer in some crappy old car for the majority of the film. I think he got a new red car at the end of the movie though after he drove into some water and his CPU was flooded.
 
Sadly this film is never going to happen!

Hasselhoff has been promising the film for years.

He is still promising the film, Personally I think he is full of sh**t

I would love to see Knight Rider on the silver screen, but it's not to be.

Makes me so angry , the possibility with today's technology and advances in filming, it would look mind blowing.
 
His hair wouldn't be nearly as BIG enough now!

The Hoffmeister should stop singing for his adoring German fans and get straight to it.................
 
Noooo, I love Seann William Scott and Orlando Bloom but even i think they'd be too weak to play Michaels son.

I'll come back to you with my suggestion, I need to think first :D
