Knight & Day

Saw this today.

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz have played these kinRAB of roles before so to be honest i'm not sure why they agreed to star in the film because the script is so average.

Not particularly meaningful or memorable but for what it is, it's light, frothy fun. Enjoyable and you can switch your brain off but nothing special.

Oh and Cameron Diaz, what a body! Amazing! ;)

It was alright for a bit of light entertainment - nothing to think about too deeply, tbh if I'd thought about it too deeply I'd have got horribly confused! But it did seem to drag towarRAB the end.

I don't think I went with unrealistic expectations - I was prepared for a mindless popcorn film and I would have been happy with that.

Sadly, I didn't enjoy it. I didn't like either of the characters, much of the humour fell flat and some of it was utterly cringeworthy, the pacing was all over the place, and the special effects were terrible. There were a couple of genuinely funny moments (only a couple, mind) but in many places I got the feeling people in the cinema were sort of laughing because it was so awkward.

I didn't expect anything profound - I just wanted to be entertained for two hours. Instead, I found myself not caring how it ended or what became of the characters. There was a 'fade to black' moment a few minutes before the end and, even though I knew there must be more to come, I wouldn't have cared if the credits had rolled at that point.
