Klonopin - Why am I on such a low dose?

Just started taking it yesterday, but why did the doc only prescribe me .5mg? Doesn't that seem like an awful low amount? I'm on 40mg of Prozac.

That being said, I've felt pretty good the past 2 days.
 
My doctor just started me yesterday on a .25 mg dose to be taken twice a day as needed. I don't see how such a low dosage is going to help anything. I took it today and haven't felt any different.
 
clonazepam is a potent drug - 0.5mg is about equal to 5mg of Valium, you are taking the nirmal dose for anxiety

also, its usual to start off with a low dose and slowly build up

how many times a day are you taking your 0.5mg?
 
3 times a day.

Don't get me wrong, I feel better. I just thought it was a low dose.
 
0.5mg three times a day is not a low dose at all, its about the maximum they would prescribe for non panic anxiety.
 
Apparently you are not on a low dosage, I however am. I'm taking .25 twice a day. You're taking 6 times what I am.
