Kitten meows CONSTANTLY. (whining)?

My kitten is a female and about 13 weeks old. She used to whiney meow occasionally but now she always goes to my apartment door and meows at the top of her lungs. She also meows when she's doing other things. I have a spray bottle and I've begun spraying her with water when she does this ... she runs away and then starts at it again within a minute or two. Any ideas on what is going on?
 
Are you feeding her enough? Was she an outside cat once? Is she fixed?

Other than those, some cats are just very vocal, and you can't change that.

second of all, shes probably just hungry..
or she hasnt been sleeping

well what kind of cat is it? sometimes a certain breed will meow for no reason at all. and may be you just need to pet it or give it some attention. it might be because its hungry,mad,needs to go pee,bored, or in pain. if all else fails take it to the vet they will probably suggest something. oh by the way my family has 4 cats so that's where im getting this info
 
I'm sorry to hear about that :( I love cats and have had many kittens, and never experienced anything this severe. My only guess is that she is in pain, with a infection or whatever it may be. Take her to your vet ASAP. Goodluck :))
 
My friend had a young cat that did this all the time because she was in heat. That would be my first guess. I hope she doesn't have anything medically wrong with her!
 
Cats meow, get over it. One of mine meows all the time, the other is quieter. You can't train them. They meow more when they want food or attention, have you tried feeding her or paying her some attention?

If you aren't prepared to accept it, find a new home where people will love and accept her. Don't ever spray your cat for being herself, it's cruel. Why did you get a cat in the first place if you can't put up with her meowing?
