I started reading the Kite Runner, turned out to be an amazing book but my parents had me discontinue reading it, they think I'm not mentally developed enough to read such material! I'm 11 there are some parts that are inappropiate but I am mature about them. I want to lend this book to one of my teachers. He seems really cool. Would it be ok to do so? Do you think he would think differently of me for reading that kind of book?

I don't think the teacher will think differently but.... that book is a bit inappropriate for one to read at 11 years old >.< i read it when I was 13 years old. It is an amazing book though but you should wait a bit.
If your teacher is a good teacher...he shouldn't think of you differently.

i don't think your teacher would think any the worse of you for reading that book

you do seem A BIT young to read some of the stuff in the novel, but as long as you can handle it & are mature about it, then (in my opinion) there isn't anything wrong with you reading it; (of course, that is your parents decision whether they want you to read it or not i guess......)

but The Kite Runner is acutally a HIGHLY acclaimed novel & a really deep and moving story, so its a very worthwhile book to read & the fact that youre reading it shows you know how to appreciate good books :)
