some weeks ago i purchased kinoma producer 2, yesterday i received an invitation to freely upgrade to producer 3 what i did as you may imagine...

naturally i was also invited to upgrade to player 3 for an acceptable 10 usd or so... and i'll think of it one day or the other...

(by the way pocket tunes also recently sent some promotional offer to go from 2 to pocket tunes 3 but it does not bring me any additionnal features for my TT)

all the best

Yes, very generous by today's standards.

AcidImage have free upgrades for life. Tealpoint give them for AT LEAST 2 years. Natara and Brayder are generous too; jkware gives upgrades for life on CardBackup.

It's amazing to me that a VIDEO application (obviously complicated) can offer you an upgrade -- yet Agendus is $9.95 every 7 months, or $15 for the insurance you can't use unless there are "3 in a year" to break even.

It's nice to know SOMEONE out there thinks about the customer and the fact that YOU are probably more likely to buy something else from them, if you know you'll be "taken care of" down the line.

Thanks for the information - good to know. We can put Kinoma in our "Software Buddies" List!!

Not to forget our friend CESD and DateBk5. Not only has the total cost of ownership been $19.95 since I bought DateBk3 over four years ago, with free upgrades right up to the current version DateBk5, but CESD also gets bug fixes and upgrades out faster than any software company I've ever seen. He had DateBk5 working perfectly with the T5 while Agendus users were still screaming that Agenudus was crashing their T5. Quite frankly, it's DateBk5, that I use to run my life, and CESD's service that have kept me from seriously looking at a PPC.

Hey Jim,
I Googled CESD because I had no idea what it was. I found this link. I would have never guessed it was really a he; and he has quite a story. I've used Datebk5 for about a year now and never knew the history behind it. Thanks...ed-
