New episode tonight at 8:30/7:30c, and the first of 2008!

Plot from fox.com:

Peggy with the butcher knife was the funniest thing I've ever seen at 8:30pm on a Sunday night.

And yes, I'm glad Ladybird didn't die.

More hilarious was Hank's approval of it. I also loved Luanne's talk with the old lady and reincarnation, only inciting "Okay" from the latter.

Kahn's really getting annoying though.

King of the Hill almost got me - I really believed that Ladybird was going to either die or be left at the home that episode since they're not too concerned with keeping the show on a status quo anymore (it's actually one of the perks of this series now).

Funny episode too - lots of stuff going on but with a sole focus on what the problem is.

Super-duper; everyone tonight had at least one killer line, even Lucky, which is rare.

Once again KOTH wins the comedy award for Sunday Night.

Part of me wished they had, in fact, kept Ladybird at the home. The doctor said it best- Ladybird IS getting old, and seeing this is the last season, it would've been acceptable to see it go out that way.

Lucky RULES- I stand by it. There was nothing in this episode that wasn't flat-out hilarious.

I also enjoyed Fred Willard's guest appearance.

One question though- what was Khan doing back in the neighborhood? I thought he and Minh now live in that upscale community?

Well king of the Hill has been on it's "final season" for three seasons now, with just getting renewed right before the season ends. So they have been treating each season like it's the last. Which is why it takes more risks now it seems.

Yeah that's why I said 'taking more risks now' because they're doing as you've mentioned. The show has really been trying to end on a great note and they keep getting picked up for more episodes, so I wonder if that means they might actually have another season next year and what changes the show will have then.

It was a good episode.

lol, when Hank said: "Good God she's deaf", or something to that effect, I thought he said "Good God she's dead" and thought "Dang, they're killing off a lot of characters this season".

I enjoyed most of it, but there are 2 things that I'm tired of seeing.

Hank having to deal with some weirdo, and comming out right in the end, and Luanne becoming a drooling moron. The Santa Claus line was another in a long line of "Let's see how stupid we can make her" lines that don't help the plot, or are funny at all. Heck, Luanne shouldn't have even been in the episode, since she didn't really do anything. Even Lucky did more.

A good episode anyway, but the dog Whisperer thing just made it seem like every other episode I've ever seen.

She bit him because she was scared, she couldn't hear Hank coming.

I assume she tore up the house for the same reason.

Man, that was a great episode. Every time I think about it I remember more great lines.

It's interesting, this is pretty much what's happening to my dog now, and we got him a little before King of the Hill first started.

I liked this episode, and I thought Ladybird was going to be left at the home (but was glad she wasn't). I liked the police suggesting Lucky was the one who messed up the house.

Yes. On its own it was an okay episode, but as part of that overall pattern, it's getting tiresome. At least in the yoga episode, Hank did discover the exercises helped his back even if he thought the instructor was a loon. But now they don't even throw THAT much of a bone to non-Hank concepts.

Not everything outside of Hank's world view is idiotic, and to see show after show demonstrating the opposite gets old.

(For that matter, the "real" Dog Whisperer is nothing like the loopy idiot in the episode, and it was too bad they had to go out of their way to suggest a similarity.)

Which episode did that happen in? Khan and Minh joined their country club recently, but I don't recall them actually moving to a different community.

So, with the series ending soon, is there any chance of getting the last HALF of the series on DVD? I mean, I stopped watching regularly around season 9 (due to work. When it aired early, I was just getting off work, and now that it airs later, i'm just GOING to work at my new job). granted, I've caught most of seasons 9 and 10 on FX, but it'd be nice to be able to finish the series.
