King of the Hill - "Manger Baby Einstein" - Talkback [5/10]

R.I.P. the Manger Babies. They had a good run.

What other storylines are left to wrap up? The only thing I can of think of that they need to do is put Bobby through puberty.

That's the last loose end, but it would kill the show for good. Given how many times it's been uncancelled over the years, I won't blame them if Bobby doesn't lose his charming voice in the end.

Donkey deserved a better end to his life than exploding like popcorn in the dryer. It's sad. Only Gurgle-Gurgle is left, but the memories and loneliness will be too much for him.

Other than that downer, awesome episode. I'm gonna miss cartoons that rely on plot and wittiness. Really, really miss them.

Yeah the lose ends that are left could be "Jump the shark" moments if by some freak chance the show continues.

How ever if any lose end it resolved i have a feeling Dale will learn the truth about his son.

Watching this episode, I'm reminded of a quote from Lisa Simpson: "There's nothing wrong with Itchy & Scratchy, it's as good as ever. But after so many years, the characters just can't have the same impact they once had." This quote applies to KOTH too.

I smirked at a few of the jokes and the plot, about Luanne being restless and wanting to be more than a new mother, was worthwhile and all, but the whole thing just felt... tired. Perhaps it's best that this is KOTH's final season, because while there have been some good episodes in season 13, it still feels like a dog that's on its last legs. You may still get some good play out of him, but the energy just isn't there anymore.

Man they really are trying to wrap up the series with this one.

I just loved how the fame went to Luanne's head, it does seem like something she would do. Though John Redcorn being the executive was a good idea, rather than make a new character fit that role, it was nice to see him again, though acting like the thing he suppository hates, AKA, The System.

This time Hank actually came off as right again, but not as in a forced "I'm Right." like from last week. Was there a need for the funeral for the MB? No, there wasn't, but it was still funny.

I actually would read Dale's Story about that AK-47, sounds entertaining.

But man, Poor Manger Babies, I'll miss them, except for Girble-Girble.
