Kidulthood/Adulthood Any good?

I am half way through Kidulthood have to have subtitles on finding it very hard to understand but its ok i am 18 so think im in the target audience did you like it?

They were actually a lot better then I thought they would be. To me they are worth a rent but not to buy. Was a bit of an eye opener as to how some inner city kiRAB behave.

I don't normally like these "yoof" culture films, but i thought Kidulthood "okay", nothing more than that though. However, I really liked Adulthood, it was a better film in just about every way (better storyline, better acting).

Loved Kidulthood - Jamie Winstone totally steals the film. I was quite dissapointed she pulled out of Adulthood quite late into the process, certainly after it was written, due to a pay dispute. They rewrote the character as her cousin which was quite clumsy and ruined the film for me, although the girl who played the cousin i thought was brilliant, but I would have preferred Jamie Winstone to have come back.

Am I right in saying the film is made on a small budget? If so, I'm sure everyone was paid little. pulling out over a pay dispute..

Didn't see Kidulthood but saw Adulthood.

Thought it was very good and powerful. If you were prepered to put your mind to it you could really see the core of the main characters and their motivation.

The film is very wierd and all the charactersespically noel clarkes are horriable and a few dont really deserve to be alive.

Its an okay film i guess, watchable, my sister loves it tho.

The best bit is when the 3 guys go into noel clarkes room. and the the guy (can't remebr his name but he looks a little like jay sean) sees the girl and tries to have sex with her, but he can't get an erection, haha that as funny. It happens to him in adulthood and kidulthood.

I think it showed to me what a great talent Noel Clarkes is both films have there floors but still I think he may be the next Danny Boyle.

I hated them. The fact that I was watching it with a gang of youths and they found it hilarious that a couple were getting mugged and hurt, pretty much sums up the idiotic target audience. I'm fairly young myself BTW.

Watched Kidulthood only on Sunday and really enjoyed it (which surprised me because I thought it was just about a bunch of chavs). Not seen Adulthood yet but really want to

I enjoyed them both though I thought Kidulthood was the stronger of the two...loved both the soundtracks even tho' not my usual genre of choice.
