Kids' WB! Flashback: Halloween Duel of Screams

It may not be an old tradition but remember Kids' WB!'s Halloween Duel of Screams? It was obviously inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh! but instead of monsters, the Kids' WB! characters dueled using cards that had kids screaming on them. I wish that they kept doing those, they were fun.

Yeah, that was one of my favorite Kids' WB events; it's a shame it only lasted for two years. It tops the Holiday Sock Party any day (though some of the Sock Parties were pretty fun, too ^^).

I also remember there being a belching contest of sorts between the Kids' WB stars as well, as well as a rapping contest. Thank God those only happened once. :sweat:
 
I realize that we're looking back nostalgically at Kids' WB now that it's gone and all, but I've got to say it: those stunt/event things with the poorly-spliced together animation clips were cheesier than a king-size order of Nachos Supreme. I would always roll my eyes and/or cringe whenever Kids' WB would do something like this.
 
Same here actually. And that whole Halloween Duel of Screams were fun memories too. Say Master Toon, are there more Kids WB Flashback threads you intend on posting?
 
:lol:, I remember watching that entire morning to find out who would win.

IIRC, the people on TVTome's forums back then were throwing a fit like "HAI, Y DID DAT WIMP JADE WINN? SHUDA BEN YUGAI! :mad:"
 
Oh yeah, I remember this Duel of Screams. I thought that it was really funny and cute. One thing that I always did like about Kids' WB was how it made promos/events where they would have characters from their different shows interacting. I thought that was a cool idea. A bit cheesy, but that usually works for me anyway, at least up to a certain level. I also was surprised that they had Jade win instead of Yugi because I'm pretty sure that Yugi was more popular than Jade was. I did get a good kick out of seeing the match between Ash and Yugi and not knowing who I wanted to win since they both were from my favorite shows on the block.
 
Yeah they were beyond cheesy but I didn't really care. I guess it was because it was just a once a week block.



I have some more ideas for Flashback threads but I'll wait and see how the first 2 go.



I was expecting Yugi to win as well but it didn't anger me or anything, it was to entertain me and that's exactly what it did.
