Well, I'm gonna miss Loonatics, I don't care what anyone says. It had some fun moments, and it was cool to hear the classic voices again, such as Daffy's, and the great voice used for Tech Coyote. It didn't sound like Wile E.'s voice the few times Mel Blanc spoke for him during the Looney Tunes days, and yet it fit. And speaking of Looney Tunes and Loonatic's lack of resemblance to same, it was such a relief to me, as a huge fan of those old toon theatrical shorts, to NOT see someone trying to revive that yet again and failing miserably (Space Jam, Back In Action). Loonatics was not an imitation, but a re-imagining of the classic characters which put them into new situations, and overall it wasn't a bad try IMO. I enjoyed it.
As for Johnny Test, I don't watch it, because such blatant theft (the female clones of Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory) makes my eyes water.
And as for Tom and Jerry...granted, the cat-and-mouse team in the original shorts weren't long on personality. But they're even more lacking in that quality in the new series, because the animation, while not too bad generally speaking, doesn't have a speck of character animation - just lots of action. And thus I find it boring. I wonder if its relative success has more to do with Itchy and Scratchy from The Simpsons than to any memories kids may have of the show's original source. I wonder...
